Bythonia rugosa (Osborn, 1923)

This species is reported for the first time in Venezuela, representing the northernmost record for this species. It was previously known from Bolivia (type) and an unknown locality in Peru (Linnavuori 1959). Both specimens were dissected and their genitalia compared to the published illustrations of the species (Linnavuori 1959).
