Type species.

Trox suberosus Fabricius, 1775 (by subsequent designation, Lacordaire, 1856).

Identification key.

The identification keys of Vaurie (1962) and Scholtz (1990) can be used to identify South American species of Omorgus, while Costa-Silva et al. (2021) can be used for Brazilian species.
