Cytaea haematica Simon, 1902: 393 (male holotype from Palabuan, Lombok, Fruhstorfer, MNHN 20340, examined); World Spider Catalog 2015.

C. whytei Prószyński & Deeleman-Reinhold, 2010 (male holotype and female paratype from Samokat, Sumbawa Besar, secondary forest, 1–9 January 1990, S. Djojosudharmo leg., CDML, examined); World Spider Catalog 2015, new synonymy.

Note: Synonymy proposed on the basis of detailed study of type material (Figs 43–55).

Diagnosis. Similar to C. taveuniensis Patoleta & Gardzińska, 2010 for having a protuberance on embolic base, but differs from the latter in the smaller size of the protuberance, tegulum relatively slender and longer embolus coiled in more than one circle (Figs 49, 55).
