Note. – The name Iresine serpyllifolia is pre-occupied because Iresine serpyllifolia (Poir.) Moq . was published by Moquin- Tandon (1849: 341), merging a species originally described in the genus Achyranthes to a very widely circumscribed genus Iresine . Based on current phylogeny-based genus concepts, this taxon is a Caribbean member of the genus Alternanthera with the accepted name A. serpyllifolia (Poir.) Urb.
