Neopicobia hepburni Glowska and Laniecka, 2014: 636, figs. 1–5. Types depsoited in AMU and USNM, examined.

Type host: Picumnus sclateri Taczanowski ( Piciformes: Picidae). Type locality: Peru.

Additional material. 14 females and 3 males from Picumnus temminckii Lafresnaye ( Piciformes: Picidae), PARAGUAY: 3 November 1938, coll. A. Neunteufel, all material in AMU.

Host range and distribution. Oligoxenous species associated with the piculets of the genus Picumnus ( Piciformes: Picidae): P. o l i v a c e u s Lafresnaye and P. sclateri Taczanowski, both from Peru (Glowska & Laniecka 2014), and P. temminckii Lafresnaye [new host] from Paraguay (present paper).
