Genus Calamincola Casto, 1978
Calamincola Casto, 1978: 158, non Cuculiphilus Casto, 1977: 170(name preoc.); Fain et al. 2000: 34; Skoracki 2011: 326. Type species: Calamincola lobatus Casto, 1978, by original designation.
Diagnosis. FEMALE. Hypostomal apex rounded. Peritremes U-shaped. Setae vi situated anterior to level of setae ve. Propodonotal shield divided into 2 wide lateral shields bearing bases of setae vi, ve, si and se and unpaired posteromedial shield bearing bases of setae c1. Opisthonotal lobes present. Bases of setae 1a coalesced. Pseudanal series represented by 2 pairs of setae. Genital series with 1 pair of setae. Genital lobes absent. Apodemes I with small thorn-like protuberances. Legs with full complement of solenidia. Physogastric form with extremely enlarged idiosoma, worm-shaped in outline.
MALE. Features as in females except: peritremes M-shaped; propodonotal shield entire; opisthonotal lobes absent; genital setal series with 2 pairs.
Species included. Monotypic genus, C. lobatus Casto, 1977 only.
