Type species: Picobia poicephali Skoracki and Dabert, 2002, by original designation.
Diagnosis. FEMALE. Hypostomal apex flat. Peritremes M-shaped. Setae vi situated anterior to level of setae ve. Propodonotal shield entire, bearing all propodonotal setae except c2. Opisthonotal and genital lobes absent. Bases of setae 1a separated. Pseudanal setal series with 2 pairs. Genital series with 1 pair of setae. Apodemes I with small thorn-like protuberances. Legs with full complement of solenidia. Physogastric form unknown.
MALE. Features as in females except: genital setal series represented by 2 pairs.
Species included. Monotypic genus, L. poicephali (Skoracki and Dabert, 2002) only.
Host range. Psittaciformes: Psittacidae .
Distribution. Afrotropical region (Cameroon).
