Vernacular Names: Aberdare Mountains African Mole Rat.

Distribution: Kenya, Aberdare Range, 2775-3200 m (Hollister, 1919).

Conservation: IUCN - Vulnerable.

Discussion: A smaller-bodied and paler-furred relative of T. rex, which is endemic to high altitudes on Mt Kenya (Hollister, 1919).
