Canthidium (Neocanthidium) sulcatum (Perty, 1830)

Canthon sulcatus Perty, 1830: 37 [transferred to Canthidium by Harold 1867a: 14; here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium]. Type locality: Brazil: São Paulo (“Habitat in Brasilia australi, Prov. S. Pauli”). Type material: According to Scherer (1983), one unsexed syntype (ZSMC). Distribution: Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a) [Martínez & Halffter (1986a) cited the states of Mato Grosso and Goiás as the geographical distribution of C. sulcatum, but not São Paulo, which is the type locality cited by Perty (1830)].
