Canthidium (Canthidium) collare (Laporte, 1840)

Chaeridium collare Laporte, 1840: 83 [transferred to Canthidium by Harold 1867a: 45; here transferred to the subgenus Canthidium]. Type locality: Brazil (“ Brésil ”). Type material: Location of syntypes unknown, probably destroyed [see Maldaner et al.’s (2017) discussion on Laporte’s first collection]. Distribution: Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
