Mohrigia angusta Xu & Huang, sp. nov.

(Figs 1, 14 C, 16)

Material examined. Holotype, male. China, Shaanxi. Ningshan, Niujiliang Nature Reserve, Gangou, 33°49.5532'N, 108°47.2403'E, 1778 m, 10-VIII-2013, leg. Jun Xu [SM01896].

Diagnosis. The species is characterized by its slender gonostylus a strong tooth arising from a subapical dorsal lobe, with two long flagellate setae on the inner side of the gonostylus; hypopygium without intercoxal lobe; tegmen pyramidal, parameral apodeme continuously sclerotized forming a central strip on dorsal side and a fingerlike process at the apex.

Description (male). Color. Head and thorax dark brown; antennae, abdomen, palps and hypopygium yellowish-brown; mesonotum brown; legs pale brown; wings fumose.

Head (Figs 1 D, E). Eye bridge with 3 rows of facets. Maxillary palps 3-segmented, basal segment with 1 seta; 2nd segment with 8 setae; 3rd segment with 6 setae. Length/width index of 4th flagellomere: 3.24–3.52.

Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 3 setae, episternum 1 with 5 setae. Wings (Fig. 14 C). Wing length 1.47 mm, width/length: 0.39. c/w: 0.71. R1/R: 0.58. r-m, stM, M1 and M2 bare, CuA1 and CuA2 bare. Legs (Fig. 1 F). Length of spur/width of foretibia 0.98. Length of femur/length of metatarsus: foreleg 1.51. Length of metatarsus/length of tibia: foreleg 0.51, hind leg 0.46. Length of hind tibia/length of thorax 1.22. Claws toothed.

Hypopygium (Figs 1 A–C). The gonocoxite as long as the gonostylus. The gonostylus slender, densely setose on the apicoventral part, with a strong tooth arising from a subapical dorsal lobe, two long flagellate setae on the inner side of the gonostylus. Hypopygium without intercoxal lobe. Tegmen pyramidal, parameral apodeme continuously sclerotized forming a central strip on dorsal side and a finger-like process at the apex. Aedeagus relatively short. Sternite 10 with 1 seta on each half.

Distribution. China (Shaanxi, Fig. 16).

Remarks. This new species is very similar to M. rusticana, Rudzinski, 2006 and M. structura Rudzinski, 2006 in sharing a slender gonostylus with the subapical tooth arising from a dorsal lobe. A distinct difference is observed on the intercoxal lobe, since it is absent in the new species, while the other two species both have a small intercoxal lobe. Additionally, the tegmen is pyramidal in the new species and M. structura, while trapezoidal in M. rusticana . The new species and M. rusticana have 3-segmented palps, while it is 2-segmented in M. structura . Further differences could also be found on the sclerotized parameral apodeme.

Etymology. This species is named after its slender gonostylus, from the Latin adjective angustus, meaning long and narrow.
