Type locality — Holotype male: Mexico, Veracruz: Jalapa (AMNH).

Distribution — Mexico (Veracruz).

Remarks. Comparing photographs of the types of Lepturginus obscurellus (Fig. 35) and L. tigrellus megaspilus

(Bates, 1885) (Fig. 64), we cannot see a reliable difference. It is probable that the two names are synonyms. In the same way, apparently both are synonyms of L. tigrellus tigrellus (Bates, 1874) (Fig. 65).
