Bathanthidium is an Asiatic genus consisting of small to medium-sized species that are mostly found in China. They come with almost black body and distinct yellow maculation (see Fig. 5); face without juxta-antennal carina (Fig. 5E), preoccipital ridge and omaulus not carinate; if omaular carina present, then it does not continue to the venter; presence of propodeal fovea behind propodeal spiracle. The genus was revised by Niu et al. (2019).
