Bdellodes meridionalis is widespread but rare in Europe and North Africa, occurs in Hawaii, and has been found in low numbers around the city of Perth in Western Australia, where it appears to have been accidentally introduced (Wallace & Mahon, 1976). It is now recorded from scattered localities in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
