Indotestudo elongata (Blyth 1854):

An individual was observed at Ghodemasan. Two rescued individuals were kept at Amlekhgunj-Hattisar. Later, they were released inside the park. Local people, especially business people, like to keep turtles and tortoises in captivity believing they are a sign of good luck for their business (Fig. 39).
