Type materials examined. 1 male (holotype), “ Yona, Kunigami Son, Okinawa Pref., 5Apr. 1990, Coll.Y. Okushima ” (EUMJ) ; 1 female (allotype), “ Yona, Kunigami Son, Okinawa Pref., 15 Apr. 1991, Y. Supplementary description. Male sternite IX (fig. 9D) cymbiform, slightly shorter than tergite IX, 2.68 times longer than wide, lateral margins parallel in the middle, gradually narrowing in apical 1/3 to form a round tip.
Distribution. Japan (Ryukyu: Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island) (fig. 11).
Biology. This species can be caught by sweeping green leaves in the primitive broad-leaved forest (Okushima, 2005). Adults are collected in April in Okinawa Island and the only collecting record from Iriomote Island was in February.
Note. This species is placed in the Lycocerus aegrotus subgroup of the L. aegrotus group by Okushima (2005).
