Material examined: Tehran: Tehran-Evin, 1600m., 20.VI.1993, leg. Ebrāhimi. Remarks: This species was previously recorded from Iran (see Carpenter, 2001).

Celonites jousseaumei jousseaumei du Buysson

Material examined: Hormozgan: Minab, Gourband, 18.V.1973, leg. Hashemi/Broumand, det. Gusenleitner.

Remarks: This is a new record for Iran.

Remarks: There are seven other species of this genus recorded from Iran: Celonites clarus Gusenleitner, C. crenulatus Morawitz, C. discretus Gusenleitner, C. longipilis Gusenleitner, C. persicus Richards, C. pictus rufiventris Gusenleitner and C. semenovi Kostylev. Celonites rothschildi du Buysson has also been recorded from Iran, but the record is doubtful; the species was described from Kenya.
