Notes: New record of the genus and species for Iranian fauna. The species was described based on three females from Kerki and later recorded from Repetek in Turkmenistan (Haupt, 1917; Kusnezov, 1929). Fifty years later it was recorded from Uzbekistan (Dubovsky, 1966) and Kazakhstan (Mitjaev, 1971). In Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Calligonum spp. were mentioned as its host plants (Kaplin, 1993; Mitjaev, 2002). Apparently it is one of the largest species of Adelungiini with its total length 6–9 mm.
