Taphura charpentierae Boulard 1971: 691 (type material in MNHN).
Type locality. French Guiana, Saut-Maripa-Oyopock.
Remarks. The claspers form an arch when viewed from the side with a recurved dorsal extension. The basal pygofer lobes are rounded finger-like extensions that are bent medially.
Distribution. The species is currently known only from French Guiana (Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2011; 2013).
