Material. IRAN: Razavi Khorasan Prov.: 1♀ (ZMUT), Mazdavand, Mozdouran (Mazdavand) Cave, 36°09'05"N 60°32'59"E, 19.06.2022 (M. Mehrafrooz Mayvan) .

Comment. Brignoliolus Ovchinnikov, 1999 was originally described as a subgenus of Coelotes Blackwall, 1841 . It was recently elevated to the full genus status (Zonstein & Marusik 2024). This is the first record of the Coelotinae in Iran.

Distribution. Known from all five Central Asian countries: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan (Mikhailov 2024).
