Hosts and distribution. Junco hyemalis (Linnaeus) [type host] ( Passeriformes: Emberizidae) from Canada (Manitoba) (Bochkov & Galloway 2004, 2013), Melospiza melodia (Wilson) (Morley & Shillinger 1937; Bochkov & Klompen 2014b), Passerella iliaca (Merrem), and Calamospiza melanocorys Stejneger ( Passeriformes: Emberizidae), Sialia currucoides Bechstein and Catharus ustulatus (Nuttall) ( Passeriformes: Turdidae), and Passerina amoena (Say) ( Passeriformes: Cardinalidae) from USA (various localities) (Bochkov & Klompen 2014b).
