[ Gyrophaena (Gyrophaena) nitidula (Gyllenhal 1810)]
Gyrophaena nitidula: Kashcheev et al. 1989: 36; Kashcheev 2001a: 150; Kashcheev & Ishkov 2001a: 101, 2001b: 123
Remarks. This species was recorded from south-eastern Kazakhstan, northern Tian-Shan, Ketmen, and Dzhungarian mountain ridges by Kashcheev et al. (1989), Trans-Ili Alatau (Chon-Kemina, Turganskiy, Zhinishke Canions) and Kungey Alatau (Chilik River) by Kashcheev (2001a), and Aksu-Dzhabagly Nature Reserve by Kashcheev & Ishkov (2001a, 2001b). These records are based on misidentification. Gyrophaena nitidula is a common European species. Examined records of G. nitidula from Siberia belong to E. angusticollis (see above and Enuschenko & Shavrin 2011). It is possible that G. nitidula was confused with the closely related G. pseudonitidula Semenov, 2015, which is widely distributed from the European part of Russia (Chuvash Republic) to the Russian Far East (Semenov et al. 2015).
