Opistognathus fenmutis Acero & Franke, 1993: 291, fig. 1. Paratype (Fig. 75): ICN-MHN 1821, female (218.0 mm SL), Colombia, Cauca, Pacific Ocean, Isla de Gorgona; R. Franke, 1989.

Remarks: Acero & Franke (1993) did not provided a catalog number for the female paratype of 218.0 mm SL herein listed. Mojica & Castellanos (2007) incorrectly listed ICN-MHN 2486 as a paratype.
