Genus Eurymorphopus Hancock, 1907

Type species: Eurymorphopus cunctatus (Bolívar, 1887), by original designation.
Composition. The genus consists of two species from New Caledonia.
Remark. This genus was described in the section Metrodorae (Hancock, 1907), later placed in the subfamily Metrodorinae (Günther, 1939; Otte, 1997), and finally transferred to Cladonotinae (Tumbrinck, 2014) . The species Eurymorphopus dubius Günther, 1974 from Mauritius not belonging to Eurymorphopus (Skejo et al., 2020) here is provisionally placed in Morphopoides Rehn, 1930, although M. dubius (Günther, 1974), comb. nov. differs from the species of latter genus by absent of tegmina and hind wings.
