Asianthrips orientalis Okajima, 2006: 187–190 .
A good number of females and males of A. orientalis have been known from Southern Japan (Ishigaki and Iriomote Islands, the Ryukyus) and Taiwan, and both macropterous and micropterous forms are known in both sexes. Bicolourous abdomen of this species is unique in the genus. The fifth to eighth adominal segments are somewhat yellowish in contrast with brown anterior segments (Figs 17 & 18).
