Type locality. Argentina. Río Negro Province, La Escondida lagoon (40°18’S- 65°58’W). Holotype. ♂, MLP-Cr 13507/1, 1941-02. Collector: Birabén M. Allotype. ♀, MLP-Cr 13507/2.

Paratype ♂ MLP-Cr 13507/3, same locality, date and collector as type. Current status. Valid species.
