The species Euplectromorpha variegata Ch. Ferrière (Figs 45–48) was never synonymized with Platyplectrus . A second species, Euplectromorpha variegata Girault 1915: 279 [Holotype female, Queensland, New South Wales (QMB), was examined by Bouček, 1988] and synonymized by him (Bouček, 1988: 635) as Platyplectrus variegatus (Girault), making P. variegatus a preoccupied name.
Diagnosis. Pronotum without carina. Occiput rounded (Fig. 43). Eyes asetose. Scutellum reticulate. POL 1.5× as long as OOL. Antenna. F1 1.2× as long as F2, F2=F3=F4. Clava 1.7–1.8× as long as wide and 1.4× as long as F4. Petiole transverse.
Redescription. Female. Size 1.8–2.3 mm.
Colour (Figs 42–44): Body yellow and black. Head light yellow, except frons and vertex with dark brown stripe (Fig. 44), clypeus and genae yellow, wide inner margin along eyes yellow. Legs yellow, except hind coxae dark brown, femora darker yellow; fore coxae yellow (Fig. 42).
Head: Eyes with short setae (Fig. 44). POL 1.5× as long as OOL. Antenna (Figs 42, 44): Scape 7.0 x as long as wide, pedicel 2.25× as long as wide, F1 1.2× as long as F2, F2=F3=F4. Clava 1.7–1.8× as long as wide and 1.4× as long as F4.
Mesosoma: Pronotum smooth. Mesoscutum engraved, reticulate. Scutellum reticulate with crenulated grooves laterally and posteriorly. Propodeum with distinct median carina, smooth, callus with two rows with 4 setae in each. Fore wing 2.3× as long as wide. SMV with 7 long setae. Speculum large and narrowly closed along pterostigma and marginal vein. SMV (15): MV (36): PMV (18): STV (9). PMV 2.0× as long as STV. Costal cell with three rows of setae: 22 setae in first margin row, 16 in second and 9 in third (Fig. 42).
Metasoma: Petiole transverse. Gaster 2.0× as long as wide.
Host. Unknown.

Etymology. Body black with yellow marking as in Latin–‘nigro and flavea’.
