Current name: Echium sp. ( Boraginaceae).

Note: Lacaita (in J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 44: 423. 1919) discussed this name in some detail, and Piggin (in Muelleria 3: 277. 1977) notes that it has been discarded as ambiguous because it is a mixture of E. rubrum Jacq. and E. rosulatum Lange. It appears to be a candidate for rejection.
