[Grows in elevations of the Kingdom of New Granade, between Pacitará and the Yacanocatu valley, at 1800 m, Flowers in November], Humboldt s/n, (holotype: B [lost?]; isolectotype: P!)
Distribution and habitat.
Montane forests of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia: rare, but uniformly distributed, terrestrial in shaded places growing on humus.
Note.
This species belongs to Peperomia subg. Micropiper (Miq.) Miq. (Frenzke et al. 2015).
