Holotype: MBLUZ308 (adult male), in the canyons of Mesa Turik, Sierra de Perijá [municipio Jesús Enrique Lossada], estado Zulia, Venezuela [10º22’ 23” N, 72º44’27” W], 1,600 m asl. 22 March 1991, Jon Ugarte.

Remarks: treated in recent literature as Anolis euskalerriari or Dactyloa euskalerriari (Nicholson et al. 2018, Uetz et al. 2022). This specimen is in good state of conservations, although pale or colorless, perhaps due to the preservation technique initially applied to it.
