Known distribution. ARGENTINA, BOLIVIA, BRAZIL (Amazonas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, São Paulo), COLOMBIA, ECUADOR, GUYANA, PARAGUAY, PERU, SURINAME, URUGUAY, VENEZUELA.

Remarks. Widely distributed in Brazil, this species has been recorded previously only for the state of Bahia (Quinteiro et al. 2014) in the Northeast Region. This study extends its known distribution and provides the first record for the state of Maranhão [Caxias Municipality].
