Remarks

This genus currently includes only five species, distributed from Mexico through much of South America, as well as in the Lesser Antilles. However, some species currently placed in Schematiza Chevrolat, 1836, Yingaresca, or Ophraea Jacoby, 1886 might properly belong in Metrogaleruca .
