Amphinemura hastata (Wu, 1973)

Nemoura hastata Wu, 1973: 104 . Type locality: China: Qinghai (Datong) (original description).

Amphinemura hastata: Baumann 1975: 12 (list); Yang et al. 2015: 214 (male and female description).

Adult habitus. General body color blackish-brown to black. Head brown to blackish-brown; antennae blackish-brown to black; palpi yellow-brown; mouthparts light brown; thorax brown to blackish-brown; compound eyes black, with three evenly distributed yellow-brown spots between the head. Pronotum blackish-brown, slightly wrinkled, rectangular with rounded corners, approximately as wide as the head. Legs brown to blackish-brown. Wings membranous, subhyaline, veins brown to black.

Female. Adult length 6.3–6.9 mm, forewing length 8.2–8.7 mm, hind wing length 7.7–8.2 mm (n = 5). Sternum 7 produced into a brown, subtrapezoidal pregenital plate, covering 1/3 of sternum 8 (Fig. 4a). Sternum 8 forms a strongly sclerotized, butterfly-shaped subgenital plate with a distinct notch (Figs. 4a–b). Sternum 9 trapezoidal and well sclerotized. There is a membranous tunnel between the sclerites, with a triangular sclerite medially that guides the way to the spermathecal duct (Figs. 4b–f). Paraprocts dark brownish and cerci brownish.

Distribution. China (Gansu, Qinghai).

Remarks. Our specimens in this study agree well with the original description by Wu (1973) in the shape of pregenital plate and subgenital plate. We provide color images of this species from Gansu and Qinghai provinces.
