Type locality. The type specimen was described from an unknown collection locality.

Remarks. The species was last transferred to Dorisiana based on the three-segmented tarsi (Santos et al. 2010). However, the timbal cover fits the expanded description of Guyalna provided here (Fig. 25). As a result, the species is hereby transferred to Guyalna to become Guyalna viridifemur (Walker, 1850) n. comb . Body length 21–24 mm, fore wing length 29–32.5 mm.

Distribution. The species has been reported previously from Brazil (Metcalf 1963; Santos et al. 2010; Sanborn 2013).
