Remarks.
The species was originally reported as Chromodoris baumanni Bertsch, 1970 in the Eastern Pacific (Rudman 1983). Years later, Gosliner et al. (2004) discussed the anatomical characteristics of this species to be like those attributed to the genus Glossodoris, suggesting a reclassification. Finally, the phylogenetic study by Johnson and Gosliner (2012) defined its new classification as part of the genus Felimida .
