Material examined. 1 male, 4.6 mm, dissected, 4 slides, WAM C46267, Cassini Island, The Kimberley, Western Australia, 13°55'S, 125°37'E 1.3 m, 16 October 2010, coll. L. Betteridge, Woodside Kimberley Survey, 32/K10, adhoc.

Type locality. Oahu, Hawaii.

Remarks. This is the first record of this species in Australia and the most westerly record for this species.

Distribution. Indian Ocean: Australia: Western Australia: Arthur Head, Kalbarri, Ned’s, Camp, Jackson Island, Cassini Island (current study). North Pacific Ocean: Hawaii, Oahu (Barnard 1970).
