Hydraena (Hydraenopsis): Namibiensis Group

Eight species are placed in this group. Members are medium sized (ca. 1.31–1.67 mm), and usually have the dorsum coarsely densely punctate. An exception is the comparatively smooth H. injectiva, which is only tentatively placed in this group. The aedeagus in this group is relatively simple, usually tubular in shape, with the parameres very small and originating distally on the main piece. The aedeagi must be examined for reliable determinations.
