Current name: Narcissus pseudonarcissus L. ( Liliaceae / Amaryllidaceae).

Note: Specific epithet spelled "Pseudo Narcissus " in the protologue.

Pugsley (in J. Roy. Hort. Soc. 58: 18-21. 1933) discussed the early treatment of daffodils by pre-Linnaean authors, including (p. 65) some of the elements for this name, but without choosing a type.
