Polytrichothrips laticeps (Bagnall)

Docessissophothrips laticeps Bagnall, 1915: 322–323 .

P. laticeps was originally described under the genus Docessissophothrips based on unique holotype female from Sarawak, Borneo. Subsequently, Priesner (1939) described the synonymous species Polytrichothrips pilosus also from Sarawak based on unique holotype female. This species is presumably known only from these holotypes, and we have not studied either of them. According to Mound and Palmer (1983) and the original descriptions, it is distinct among the genus in having elongate postocellar and mid-vertex cephalic setae.
