Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “3420” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Kaitoke. \ Wellington” [in Broun’s hand], “ Mesocyphon \ capito .” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1914a) studied a single specimen collected by G. V. Hudson. Specimen is missing its head.
