Type locality. Mount Arthur.

Broun number: 2030.

Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, genitalia mounted on glass slide pinned together with the specimen, “Holo- \ type” [round label with red border], “2030.” [in Broun’s hand], “Mount Arthur” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Cyphon \ fuscifrons ” [in Broun’s hand], “Holotype \ Cyphon fuscifrons \ Broun \ det. T. Nyholm 1981” [in Nyholm’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1893) studied a single specimen collected from Mount Arthur. According to Nyholm (2000) this species belongs to an undescribed genus.
