Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “4062.” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Bluff \ 1.12.1914 ” [in Broun’s hand], “ Atopida \ pallidula ” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1921) studied a single specimen collected on 1.12.1914 by A. Philpott at Bluff, Southland.
