Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (MNHN): card-mounted, “N. Zealand” [handwritten], “Brounicyphon \ ng sericeus \ mihi” [in Pic’s hand], “peut etre genre \ Atopida Sharp ” [in Pic’s hand], “type” [in Pic’s hand].

Remarks. The precise collection locality is unknown (Pic 1947).
