Distribution. India: Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Karnataka (Fig. 36).

Remark. Das and Girish Kumar (2015) recorded this species from India (Maharashtra, Karnataka) as Odontomutilla speciosa (Smith, 1855) which was described from Hong Kong (China). Mickel (1933) studied the holotype of Odontomutilla speciosa and provided the differences with the related O. chrysococcina (Sichel et Radoszkowski, 1869) from Iran. After the re-examination of Indian material we consider that the records from Das & Girish Kumar (2015) was a misidentified O. spectra (Bingham, 1908) described from India (Uttarakhand). Therefore we excluded O. speciosa (Smith, 1855) from the list of Indian subcontinent fauna.
