Acinipe strigata Roberts, 1938

Type locality: Morocco, Azrou .

Material examined. E of Ej-Jemaa, 33.67323°N, 6.08158°W (470 m), 16.VI.2013 (1♂) .

Distribution. Acinipe strigata is distributed in a wide area of Morocco (including the Middle Atlas) from the sea level to 1000–2000 m; Badih & Pascual (1998) reported three specimens (one male and two females) of this species also from the Rif, quite far from the other localities where this species has been found previously; photos of them kindly provided by F. Pascual allowed to establish that they belong to Acinipe tibialis (Fieber, 1853), characterized by small tubercles on the abdominal tergites; its distribution cover north Morocco and it seems that it does not overlap with that of A. strigata .
