Discussion: Akodontini. Recognized as a genus, as initially diagnosed, by Gyldenstolpe (1932); reclassified as a subgenus of Akodon by Ellerman (1941) and so observed by Cabrera (1961), or considered a subjective synonym of Bolomys (Reig, 1987) .
