Type material examined: Holotype ♀ [?; not dissected]: “Holotype / Malay Penin : Selangor , F.M.S., Kuala Lumpur , Jan. 12th, 1930, H.M. Pendlebury. / Z. (Thoracodonia) carinipennis Cam. Type / M. Cameron. Bequest., B.M. 1955-147.” ( BMNH).

Comment: The original description is based on the holotype (“ Type in my collection”) from “ Kuala Lumpur ” ( CAMERON 1950). An examination of this specimen confirmed that it does not belong to Zyras sensu strictu.
