Description. Body brown and shining, eyes black, two oblique lateral narrow fasciae along front edge of vertex between eyes yellowish-orange, rest of vertex yellow except two triangular white areas anterolaterally (Figs. 13). Frons white, frontoclypeus, anteclypeus and lorum dark brown, gena white (Fig. 15). Pronotum brown, with anterior margin yellow; scutum yellow, with anterior half brown; scutellum yellow (Fig. 13). Forewing transparent and infuscate with veins brown, base of clavus white, with oblique dark brown stripe from midlength of clavus to middle of corium, triangular area near distal clavus white, brochosome field red, brown stripe along apical veins, third apical cell with a large distinct dark spot (Figs. 13, 14, 58). Hind wing transparent, with veins brown ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ). Male abdominal apodemes small, slightly exceeding fourth sternite ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ).

Male genital capsule short, pygophore side tapered, with short, sclerotized process directed ventrally, with four long macrosetae posterodorsally, several small setae along posterior margin ( Fig. 60 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ). Subgenital plate in basal 2/3 parallel-sided, with apex sclerotized and bifurcated, with two macrosetae, two small setae subapically, and few rigid microsetae apically ( Figs. 60, 63 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ). Paramere with long, tapering curved apical part and with a row of thin setae subapically ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ). Connective short, V-shaped ( Fig. 61 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ). Aedeagus with preatrium long and dorsal apodeme developed; shaft long, with two pairs of processes, one basal and other subapical, apex bifurcated; gonopore subapical ( Figs. 64, 65 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ).

Body length. 2.85–2.94 mm (including wing).

Material examined. Holotype, 13, China: Yunnan Prov., Fengqing, 29 Nov. 1999, coll. I. Dworakowska. Paratypes, 73, 6Ƥ, same data as holotype.

Distribution. China (Yunnan)

Remarks. The new species resembles Z. dworakowskae sp. nov., but differs in the yellow scutellum, white clavus base, red brochosome field and larger dark spot in third apical cell of forewing (Figs. 13, 14); Z. dworakowskae sp. nov. has a dark brown scutellum, dark red brochosome field and smaller dark spot in the third apical cell of the forewing ( Figs. 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 3. Z ). It also differs from all the known species of Zyginella in having both basal and subapical pairs of the processes on the aedeagal shaft ( Figs. 64, 65 View FIGURES 57 – 65 ).

Etymology. The specific epithet alludes to the two pairs of processes of the aedeagus.
