Etymology:— Named after the very large size of conidia.

Description:—Asexual morph: Colonies effuse, olivaceous to dark brown, hairy; growing in association with species of lichen. Mycelium immersed in the substrate. Conidiophores mononematous, differentiated, brown, erect, straight, unbranched, 3–8 septate, smooth, thick-walled, 160–340 (rarely up to 570) µm long, 12–21 µm wide at the base, 11–14 µm wide at the middle, 6.0–7.5 µm wide at the apex. Conidiogenous cells flask-shaped, brown, integrated, terminal, truncate after conidia secession, 9–19 × 7.5–10.0 µm, proliferating percurrently up to 5 times, with holoblastic conidial ontogeny. Conidia solitary, dry, campanulate or fan-shaped, sometimes apically 2–3 lobed, lenticular in edge view, dictyoseptate, brown, smooth, (73–)81–120(–135) µm high, (51–)67–94(–106) µm wide, with up to 18 vertical rows of cells, basal cell protuberant, 7–9 µm wide, brown; conidial appendages mostly 2–3, sometimes up to 4, divergent, tapering, brown, apically colourless, arising on sides from the outermost rows of cells of the conidium, 1–3(–6)-septate, (33–)52–74(–126) µm long, 6.5–8.0 µm wide at the base. Sexual Morph: Unknown.

Known distribution:— Known only from the type locality in Goa, India.
