Type:— ITALY. Herb. Allioni, Viola nummularifolia (holotype, TO) .
Note:—Published as intended replacement name for Viola nummulariifolia All. (a later isonym of V.nummulariifolia Vill. , not a homonym), actually this name is a new species published bythe reference to and contemporary reproduction of Allioni’s (1785) previously and effectively published diagnosis (Arts. 38.1(a) and 7.8 of the ICN) and by the exclusion of the type of Viola nummulariifolia Vill. ; the lectotype is to be corrected to holotype (Arts. 9.10, 9 Note 6, and 40.6 of the ICN).
